About this deal

Speaking of calls, you won’t be using these buds just for gaming or media. They sound decent enough though a tad bit faint which is to be expected of microphones so far from your mouth. They will get you through a phone/ video call or Discord chat without any problem though. Dual Mode Switching: Triple tap the R/L touch control. This works with a short pause between each tap – maybe just under half a second. The earbuds nestle perfectly down into the case. The lid’s hinge has a bit of a spring assist that helps it snap into both the open and closed positions. I tried this more than once mid song to see how the frequencies and sound signature changed. The music mode definitely sounded less woody. I always describe the wooly sound some earbuds produce like your sitting in front of a speaker and there is sheet of cardboard between you and the speaker.

As mentioned above, both the earbuds and their charging case look cool, with a sort of 80s retro sci-fi style. The Lucidifer T1 earbuds have considerably less runtime than standard true wireless earbuds but, it is comparable to aptX low latency gaming headphones. Long battery life is not the strongest point of any low latency bluetooth device so, in this regard the Lucifer T1 earbuds sacrifices a bit of battery life for less delay (55ms), which is a trade-off most gamers are willing to take. Each headset mounts a 40 mAh battery with which we can enjoy 7.5 hours of autonomy at medium volume. The box has a 400 mAh battery, allowing us to charge the headphones about 3.5 times, so the total battery life exceeds 30 hours. The 3.5 hour battery life on the T1 buds themselves is pretty poor compared to others I’ve tested which average 5-6 hours. That said, there are nine extra charges in the case for a total of 35 hours of battery life. I should point out that the 3.5hrs wasn’t enough for my typical work day usage because my day is split into 4-5hour chunks with lunch break in between. Also, considering that the buds take at least an hour to fully recharge you might want to think about how you use them for long stretches. Should you buy?

These earbuds are equipped with the ability to toggle between “Music” mode and “Gaming” mode by triple-tapping either earbud’s touch control. I wasn’t sure which mode was supposed to be which, but each did produce a very different sound. One mode sounded a bit tinnier, with sharp highs and mid-range, but little to no base. The other mode sounded a bit more muffled, with mostly mid-range and some base, but almost no highs. Generally speaking, I found the tinnier mode to be better for listening to music and podcasts, and I didn’t have much use for the more muffled mode. The headphones are medium-sized in the area placed in the ear and in the part that goes into the ear. The distribution of weights is well achieved, and they are well supported with ease. They do not move when running or exercising, something essential because the headphones have the IPX4 water resistance certificate, so they are resistant to sweat and rain.

The headphones are fitted with 10mm diameter dynamic drivers, more extensive than other similar headphones. The only complaints I have its that the battery doesn’t last too long, but if you charge them for a few minutes they’re good to go again. And the protection screens inside the earbuds fell off, but I believe that’s my fault for bad management. They worked just fine though, I just needed to be careful not to get water in there. The design on these had me questioning at first but the bulbous top end actually fits really comfortably in the ear. They are also light. Again, you need to seat these well so play with the different tips. The designers sold me on the look and shape. The quality is ok, it's cheap so I'm not expecting it to be top quality. The estimated battery life is 4hrs. The case will give it 35hrs worth of life. I like the touch features. They may become a hindrance in time when adjusting the earpiece and accidentally touching the sensor. The key one of these is the presence of Shark Space, a pre-installed app – when you open this, you’re shown a carousel of all the games installed on your device. Playing the titles through the app delivers lots of extra options. You can select to mute or limit notifications or calls, set the balance between processing power and battery conservation, map the triggers and do many, many more similar things.

The bottom end is round and deep – definitely sculpted to be present. Easily matches the AirPods Pro for feeling in the lower frequencies but you have to make sure you get them deeply seated in your ear. If there is even a small leak in the seal you’ll lose the deep and fat bass frequencies. Our all-new patented design allows our engineers to custom tune each driver as though there are three—allowing for the individual replications of high, mid and low audio frequencies to deliver on richer trebles, brighter sound and powerfulbass. It is a light, comfortable headset with a game mode and is perfect hands-free. In addition, its design is very daring and original. But its sound is dim, and the touch controls do not allow you to control the volume. Power Off – place earbuds in the case and close lid, or press and hold both touch controls for 5 seconds Mids in my opinion sounded better on the gaming audio setting, they were a little more forward in the sound signature. The way the case lights up is so impressive and it certainly adds to the excitement of the experience using them, even if it adds nothing to the audio quality.

In normal mode (music mode), there is a slight delay between the image and the sound while watching videos or playing video games, but when you activate the game mode, the image and sound are entirely synchronized. Sound Activating Music mode enables a precision tuned audio experience. Deep bass and high frequencies benefit from this greatly. The 10mm drivers are plenty to provide a rich dynamic drive experience. Despite what is said in the product description, these earbuds do not work with the Switch even if everything is up to date so be prepared to either buy an adapter or buy a pair from another maker that actually can connect to the Switch. Sadly, I lost the case recently and had to use my warranty, but the customer support was amazing! They helped me through every step of the way and got me a new product. I’m really thankful for them. The Bluetooth connection is relatively stable, and I have not had cuts or interference at reasonable distances. The maximum range of these BS-T1s is medium, they allow me to move a couple of rooms away from my computer, but when I get to the kitchen, I lose signal (like most similar headphones).I personally liked the game mode mode for audio as well as gaming. The good news is you have both to choose from and you get to choose. Musically they are more than up to task considering the lower price point. You can choose between the dual modes for gaming or music with a triple tap on the earbuds. This is helped by the presence of pop-up physical triggers along the right edge of the phone, which can be assigned a function for your game, to turn your smartphone into a device that more resembles a gaming controller. This setup delivers quite an advantage in games.
