About this deal

a five star read of course, if you haven’t started this series…besties do not walk, RUN😩here are some of my favorite quotes Lily's compulsion leads her to one-night stands, steamy hookups and events she shamefully regrets. The only person who knows her secret happens to have one of his own. The Addicted Series and Calloway Sisters Series are better read together as certain books, like Thrive, take place during other books. Both of these characters are destructive, damaged and flawed. And I loved them both. Lo is such a fantastic guy- he had so many issues of his own but he loves Lily fiercely and wants her to be his. I adored him. I also loved all of the secondary characters- Ryke, Connor, even Rose by the end. I can’t wait to read more about them and I’m happy to know they’ll be getting their own books! Hi, honey. I did not need to hear about all of your detailed fantasies about literally every stranger you saw throughout this whole book. Also, I'm a little mad that you didn't make that poor Giggalo a cup of coffee.

He’s my drug that I gladly consume, and I think that’s what he fears most. He enables my addiction. Always has. And the longer we’re together, he always will.” lily breaks my heart and lo was so mean sometimes but it's ok cus he's my baby n i love him so i excuse it. Some characters plopped themselves into the lives of Loren and Lily and refused to leave them alone which seemed a little unrealistic, though perhaps not in the face of addicts.

The writing was okay, I guess. I have no complains so I guess it's a good thing? I mean Lilly is not a very reliable character to be honest so I didn't feel myself deeply into Lilly but more like into her and Loren's situations itself. It was okay, not good and not bad either, so it kinda fell in the middle I guess? It's 1st person POV though, which my go to POV so I guess I kinda like it? Okay I know my updates gave you the impression I like this book, well... to be honest I do like it! And I enjoyed it! It's just there were some certain things that I didn't like and it bothered me enough to give me this review. Disclaimer: Cheating is forbidden for my taste in romance, AND IN GENERAL. It’s clearly the worse thing that ever happened to humanity. religiously that’s how humanity was created but whatever. no one jumps on my throat, please. First off, let me just say that both of the main characters are completely screwed up! Lily is a sex addict, sleeping her way through her early-twenties like there's no tomorrow. Meanwhile, Loren, aka "Lo", is drinking like a fish. Both of them are completely out of control. see - usually i'm always on the girl's side, okay? no matter what. if she cheats, it's better than if he cheats. yes, i have double standards sometimes. love triangles with one girl and two men are ALWAYS better then with two girls and one man. sue

Six years of miscommunication. One of us could have opened up. Instead we let the tension build between us, growing a lie.” Did this book marketed as romance? If not why did I get that impression? Not sure why- I'm sorry if I got the wrong impression because I'm sure this is not a romance book. That’s what Lily and Lo try to do when Jonathan Hale schedules an “important” meeting. The problem: after being swept into the public eye and battling their addictions, they’re not sure what the worst is anymore. In a sea of many changes—including Ryke & Daisy living with them—Lily realizes that the best part of her fluctuating hormones might just be the worst. Predictably, these two end up in a relationship but things get awfully complicated with both Loren and Lily trying to satisfy their cravings and each other at the same time. Progress. That’s what Lily’s striving for. But by trying to become closer to her family—people who aren’t aware of her addiction—she creates larger obstacles. When she spends time with her youngest sister, she learns more about her than she ever imagined and senses an unsettling connection between Daisy and Ryke Meadows. The cofactor to their story revolves around wealth and society as both characters come from wealthy families and so much is expected from them esp from their damaging parents. Synopsis: “As a sex addict, Lily Calloway must do the impossible. Stay celibate for 90 days. Cravings and fantasies become her new routine, but while Loren Hale recovers from his alcohol addiction, Lily wonders if he’ll realize what a monster she really is. After all, her sexual compulsions begin to rule her life the longer she stays faithful to him. But how are you supposed to judge a character -Lily- agissements when they are clearly the reflection of her dependency ? She was lost and driven by her corrupted thoughts that don’t forget flourished at a very young age, this would mess up with anyone mind. She didn’t get the help she needed because her family had given her the impression that she couldn’t fully or at all be honest with them and confessing was under the table because to them a good and proper image was more important then a mental health. And that goes for Lo, as well. So yes, they were both caring of one another, just as they were selfish, and the love they had was completely toxic but at least they were aware. Enabling each others addictions was what allowed them to sink further — making it so difficult for them to crawl out of that.
