About this deal

Prepare the waffle batter: While the waffle maker [ 1] is preheating, prepare your waffle batter according to your favorite recipe. Ensure the batter is well-mixed and free of lumps. A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use. If an extension cord is used, the marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance, and the longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or animals, or tripped over. Never use an abrasive cleaner or harsh pad. NEVER IMMERSE CORD, PLUG OR UNIT IN WATER OR OTHER LIQUIDS.

Do not overfill the waffle maker – it should not be filled to the top of the waffle grid. Always use the provided measuring cup as a guide. We feel we’d be doing a disservice if we didn’t mention the Griddler’s big brother, the Griddler Elite. The Elite has the same features as the basic version we reviewed, but with a few extras that we found appealing. Cook the waffle: Cook the waffle for the recommended time, typically 3 to 5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Avoid opening the waffle maker prematurely, resulting in undercooked waffles. The lid hinge “floats,” so it can remain at the same angle to the bottom surface. While that hinge worked the way it was supposed to, we sometimes had to adjust it manually, particularly when cooking sandwiches. When the waffle is ready, the green light will turn on and 5 beeps will sound. Open the waffle maker by pressing the stay-cool latch on the side of the unit, and use the latch to carefully lower the front plate. BE CAREFUL not to touch the hot plate. We liked the idea that we could open the Griddler flat to have two different cooking surfaces, and we could choose grill or griddle plates for each half. Even when we were using the griddle plates on both sides, having separate cooking surfaces gave us the option to cook with butter on one plate and oil on the other. Likewise, we could use different sauces on each side without the flavors mingling. Baking time is determined by the browning level that you chose in Step 3. Normal baking time for Shade #3 is about 3 minutes, but depending on your waffle recipe, that may vary. Lighter shades take a little less time; darker shades a little more. Dry thoroughly: After cleaning, ensure that all components of the waffle maker are dehydrated before reassembling or storing it. Moisture can lead to mold or damage to the unit. Indicator Lights – Red indicator light signals power ON; green indicator light signals when waffle maker is ready to bake and when waffle is ready to eat.

Audible Signal (not shown)– 5 beeps sound when waffle maker is ready to bake, and when waffle is fully cooked and ready to eat. So, embrace the art of waffle making, unleash your creativity with toppings, and savor the deliciousness that awaits you with each delightful bite. Happy waffle-making! Repeat for additional waffles: If making multiple waffles, repeat the process for each batch, ensuring the waffle maker is preheated correctly. Close the waffle maker: Close the lid gently, allowing the waffle maker to press the batter evenly across the plates. Do not apply excessive force, as this can affect the texture of the waffle.

Accessories & Spares

When you are finished baking, turn the temperature knob to the lowest setting and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Allow the waffle maker to cool completely before handling. Preheat the waffle maker: Plug in the Cuisinart Waffle Maker and select the desired temperature setting. Allow it to preheat until the indicator light turns on or off, indicating it has reached the desired temperature.

Do not operate your appliance in an appliance garage or under a wall cabinet. When storing in an appliance garage, always unplug the unit from the electrical outlet. Not doing so could create a risk of fire, especially if the appliance touches the walls of the garage or the door touches the unit as it closes. Adjust the temperature knob to the desired browning setting – select #1 for the lightest shade of waffle and #5 for the darkest shade. We recommend setting #3 for a golden brown waffle. Pour the batter: Open the waffle maker and pour the appropriate amount of batter onto the center of the bottom waffle plate. The amount will vary based on your waffle maker’s size and instructions. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest Cuisinart Authorized Service Facility for examination, repair, or adjustment. The Cuisinart Griddler boasts the ability to work as an indoor grill, a griddle, and a panini press, but does it do all three jobs well? We used it to cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner, testing both the flat and ridged plates, and we enjoyed the results. While we’re not getting rid of our outdoor grill for cooking steaks on a sunny day, we appreciated the ease of using the Griddler, as well as the simple cleaning of the grill plates in the dishwasher. Read on for all the juicy details about this top-rated kitchen tool. I always thought Magic Kingdom was supposed to be the happiest place on Earth – where everything smells like waffle cones and cotton candy – but when I first went to Diagon Alley, I knew that was where I belonged.” – Laurel Van Ness, Canadian Professional Wrestler From preheating the waffle maker to pouring the batter, cooking to golden brown perfection, and enjoying the delicious results, this appliance brings the joy of homemade waffles to your breakfast table.
