There is also a new ‘F(t)’ mode, which is supposed to adjust the output as you vape – more on this new mode later. The ergonomic design is great even with my spade like appendages, the rubber coating is grippy and extremely comfortable, with the fire button being in an intuitive position even for my sausage fingers. I found the main screen easy to see, and thanks to the easy user interface, changing things were straight forward. I noticed no difference to ramp up times. It was responding as fast as the Voopoo Gene chip, for example. Any difference to flavour or vapour production was negligible. Powering up to a maximum of 80W the FORZ TX80 uses a high amp 18650 battery, sold separately, for long-lasting performance. One the side of the mod is a large silicone stopper that keeps the Type-C USB charging slot free from water and dust. The 0.15-ohm mesh GTR coil was giving me the best performance, around 70W. It delivered excellent flavor and clouds. It also seems to have a pretty good lifespan, I got through an easy 10-12 refills, and the coil was still going strong. There are three 10mm wide adjustable airflow slots on the base of the tank and the tolerances are very good. I only suggest using the USB port for device upgrades. Always use a dedicated charger when using 18650 (or any external) batteries.
