Update: JLa answered a bunch of questions for the book club (FB JLA book club) and some theories must be wrong with the answers we got 😬 We also now know that book 4 will not the last book in the Flesh and Fire series and despite the fact we will have to deal with another cliffhanger I am super happy these two get more books. ALITF takes place right after the heartbreaking events of book 1. In terms of plot, there isn’t much of any really. This felt completely character driven to me. Sera is battling her own demons, grief, and self-loathing. She is also attempting to make amends for her actions of book 1. There are so many reveals and questions answered in this one which I really appreciated because I feel like JLA has just dragged us along for several books. The Flesh and Fire novels will be a series. This is the first novel in the series. The next one, currently unnamed, will be released in Fall 2022. Is a Shadow in the Ember related to From Blood and Ash? never have i ever hated a character more than i hate kolis, i hope he rots in the darkest bits of the abyss😍, can't wait to see him entombed and please jennifer lemme see that bitch veses dead or else we're going to have beef together🤩

Sera es un personajes increíble, su personalidad de no callarse una, su actitud y también se nos presentan sus debilidades. Los personajes secundarios son inolvidables y únicos, al igual que el impresionante personaje masculino principal.

i think Jennifer made it clear in this book that while nyktos may have been angry at sera after finding out her plans in the last book, he never hated her, he was just hurt but he understood why, but nyktos.. my man.. you already love her Sera began as a great MC nevertheless she undergoes zero change. Her development all through the book is actually non current. I imagine I like Poppy extra as a result of the proven fact that we are able to see her substantial development with the collection. For Sera she is much less naive so I feel she would not have as a lot to study? However both means the ‘spin’ at the finish regarding who she truly is was so silly in addition to was actually meaningless like can we cease.
